Project "GenerationBALT"


GenerationBalt. Linking maritime education with the changing job market for a new generation of Baltic Sea experts.

Project goal is to boost the South Baltic maritime economy by match-making between high-profile job-seekers and employers in the maritime-related professions. In the long term, our partner universities want to be able to better adapt their curricula to the changes in the labour market.

Main project activity will be the international Generation BALT supplementary study programme, covering 5 courses, designed around the maritime sectors with largest development potential identified by the foresight. Target group are skilled and ambitious last-grade students and unemployed graduates from the region. In course of intensive match-making activities participants will have a chance to meet their potential employers, arrange an internship and possibly a job.

Project duration: 36 months (01.07.2011 - 30.06.2014).

Lead Partner -the University of Rostock (Germany).

Projekto Partners: Klaipeda Science and Technology Park and other partners from Germany, Poland, Sweden, Lithuania and the Kaliningrad Oblast.

There are 10 Associated Organisations participating in the Project.
