Global Business Plan Competition in Water Technologies (and related)

In cooperation with the Berlin Watertech Trade Fair "Wasser Berlin" the First Global Water Technologies Business Plan Competition is launched.

In February 2010 unique Water Technology Funding Forum WaterVent was initiated. Since then it has received thousands of enquiries and registrations on a global scale.

Many incubators, clusters and water related start-up competitions were incepted. All of them were regional or national. Water security is a global challenge. Based on broad experience and network Leonhard Ventures together with Wasser Berlin has initiated the first ever Global Business Plan Competition in Water Technologies (and related).

Please send your application here. Deadline is October 31st. First selection will be done by Leonhard Ventures. Second evaluation will be done by our jury until december 18th. Leads to invitation to present personally to Jury Members in March 2017. During Wasser Berlin Trade Fair the Final Winners will be announced in Gala.

Based on experience in innovative ("new") water technologies focus in evaluation is put on market and clients access which is particularly challenging for water technology innovators. They often simply substitute (threaten) existing technologies and are therefore not always "welcome".

Addtionally there are still water issues which are not yet solved i.e. neglected water problems.

Note: we do expressively welcome adjacent technologies from the water nexus also, i.e.

  • (smart) agriculture
  • Urban and vertical farming
  • Aquaponics
  • Blue and green biotech
  • Algae
  • Aquaculture

Testimonials about 10 years of cooperation with KMTP

The majority of innovative enterprises start their activities in small teams; therefore, KSTP is the best place to start business. The Park forms ideal conditions for creation and incubation of small enterprises. Small companies especially need help and space where they could grow and improve. I am glad that KSTP makes a very important contribution to promotion of small and medium business.

Chairman of Small and Medium Business Council of Klaipėda City Municipality

Aras Mileška

I can firmly state that KSTP is an institution where the ideas are generated not for remaining on paper or deep in a drawer. They are effectively implemented, there is always a look to the future, and a further road is foreseen to ideas. This is a feature of a solid and responsible institution. As a resident of Klaipėda, not indifferent to the present and, even more to the future, I wish that KSTP as it was, so it also would be one of the most active, dynamic and creative economy engines not only at national level but also at wider spaces.
